Facebook announced an new service namely Skype Video Calling Facility under its roof for all Facebook users last night. So now if you are on Facebook you can have Video chat with your friend from Facebook itself with ease.
Facebook has launched this feature in collaboration with Microsoft’s Skype. Skype which is world famous for VOip service is know owned by Microsoft.
How to Activate Facebook Video Calling ?
So now to activate the service you need to visit facebook.com/videocalling and just click on Get Started.
Once you activate the Service the chat bar will get updated into newer look. When you will be chating with any of your friend you can see an Camera symbol above the chat window. When you click on that camera video call will be sent to your friend. If he receives the call you both will be able to have video chat (along with audio chat too).
If your friend has not activated the service he will be prompted to do so then. Once he has done the activation he will be able to have Voice and Video chat with you.
In this Video calling in Facebook app, even if only one person has the Web cam then also you can have the Video call in between you both.
Facebook launched Video calling feature just after one week of launch of Google+ it just indicates that there is an cold war between Facebook and Google and it has taken an new turn after the launch of two new services. Let us wait and watch the war and see who wins it.
